by the way, if I remember correctly, the word "terrible" has a negative connotation in English, like "horrible". We have the same translation problem in France, as we use the word "terrible" for "excellent", or "impressive". That knife's not terrible, it's excellent!

yes, terrible is negative, as opposed to "terrific" which is very positive

This knife is definitely TERRIFIC !!!!

remembers me of a french guy interviewing an amarican metal band on the radio. He did the exact same mistake like "i listened to you ralbum, it's really terrible!" He meant terrific. There was kind of a big big silence !
