First of all, I'm terribly sorry for writing in English.
I'm from Russia, and, unfortunately, I don't speak French at all. (
I'm writing here, not at international forum, because I'm seaching for a high-quality bali-song knife in Paris. Like bm42, dragonfly of arcangel.
In Russia full-sized bali-songs are strictly forbidden. And luckily, I'm going to Paris for a couple of days.
Anyone please suggest me where would be able to purchase one of the knives listed. Some shop(the closer to the center of the city - the better) or just person who would like to sell his/her knife, maybe not brand new, but in good or perfect condition.
It would be very nice if someone translate the main idea to your national language for those, who don't speak English.
Sorry for my English again.
Thank you.

Merci

Merci Tauren Purple_Colorz_PDT_20

hey hello Nevermind, and welcome here.
Don't worry about speaking english, I personally do NOT speak a word of Russian, except the expression "na zdorovye" :)

Try to find the shop "armes bastilles" adress: Armes Bastille 61, rue de Lyon 12eme, Paris

you should be able to grab some good balis there. They have for sure bm42 maybe more, i think.

The other members of the forum will correct me if I tell bullshit :)

Good luck in your search, tell us if you succeed.

Hi Nevermind!

As Piw said: "Armes Bastilles" shop has a good and large choice of balisong.
An other one, there is "Courty et Fils" at the 44, rue des Petits Champs, in the 2nd district of Paris (75002). there's less choice than at "Armes Bastille" but I'm sure they got a Bm32, a Bradley Mayhem (I haven't got one but I've tried it, it's fabulous!) and BM42 I think. Sellers are also very kind here.
Enjoy your next purchase! ^^

Merci Tauren, traduction légèrement corrigée par un collègue et moi, et rajoutée au post de départ.

Nevermind, good luck for finding a good bali not too expensive, that is the main problem in Parisian shops. The two shops presented by the others are the best in Paris for quality balisongs, if you don't find what you want there, I don't know if you'll find it elsewhere.

Umm I wouldn't really suggest these 2 shops, the prices they are currently applying a too high.
around 240 for a BM32/BM42 (both shops)
around 380 for a Mayhem. (only at Armes Bastille)

BUT

at Courty & Fils (44 rue des petits champs near OPERA) there is a 2nd hand BM32 for 170 euros.

The problem is to import it in Russia if he buys the bali in the web. I'm not sure the law is very kind with the people who import illegal things

Won't you have a risk to carry a balisong in your luggage when you return to russia?

The shop mentioned by Piw and DA seems to me the best place in Paris. I have no more address.

Or you can order good balisong to Armand Palacio (palacio.ph), he ships internationally and with the blade in a package and handles in the other. (it works well for Canada, Germany, England. Why not for Russia.)). (I forgot to precise, Armand is knifemaker and it's custom knives :), but even if it's a custom, I'm almost sure that will be cheaper than to buy a bm42 in France.)

Thanks, I'm so glad and even surprised that you helped me instead of suggesting using search engine. Kindness and politeness are rare things these days in internet. )
I've already searched, and even found two shops (armes bastilles and courty et fils). But I wasn't sure that there really is bm42 in stock. But with your recommendations, there are no doubts left.
Prices are really high, but I guess I'll be able to overcome greed. ) In Russia all we have is small Chinese balis for about 5 euros. Imagine their quality.
Bm32 is also available, but carbon handles and small size just don't let me feel it like classic bali-song. And, of course, it's very expensive.
Unfortunately, it's really impossible to order balis by mail. Recently there are plenty of incidents with russian customs. My compatriots can't receive even legal folders! The last knife I ordered from America (microtech vector auto) was lost in mail. I'm not speaking of balis over 90mm. Absolutely no hope of crossing border. But if I buy bali in Paris by myself, torx screw will be a solution. There are no restrictions of crossing border with a small pack of bits inside. )
I also checked palacio.ph. There are nice small balis for a reasonable price, but full-sized ones cost over 250$ plus shipping. Seems pointless to me.
Thanks again. In case of appearing new ideas about getting nice balis in Paris for good price, post them. I appreciate it. )

Be aware that $250 is about 170€ today, and the euro is getting stronger and stronger compared to the US dollar. Since the prices don't vary much, you'll have a very hard time getting a good balisong under $250. 170€ is the price of the "bargain" DoomAngel noted for a used BM32, looking for something equal for less is pointless. I think you'll be better with a pandayan for this price.

If you can order a balisong in the US to be shipped to a kind enough Parisian member of the forum, he could keep it for you. It depends on the time you'll be in Paris (the shipping can sometimes be long from the US to France), and if somebody is willing to help you.

I'm not trying to say that 250$ is too much for me.
Choosing between purchasing by mail for about 210euro with a risk of loss and err... physical buying in the shop for 250... I'd prefer second variant. )
Сoncerning ordering knife from US to Paris... Won't work. I'll be in France next week.

Umm you may also try EUROSURPLUS near place de la RÉPUBLIQUE.
2 boulevard VOLTAIRE, 75011 (Paris)

They also sell balisongs but I don't know if they still have benchmades/spydercos

Well, if you're right about that it can be a solution, but disassembe a Benchmade is not very easy...

What do you mean? Could you describe it in more details?
Is it something harder than untighten a couple of screws?
I've got experience in disassembling/cleaning/oiling folder knives.
Or is it just a strong threadlocker?

You need a little hammer and a piece of brass or something not to hard to dissassembly the balisong. (and a torx screw divers t8).
The pivot are tight in the handle and won't move even without the top screw. (if you buy at armes bastilles and explain your probleme, i'm sure they will dissassembly it for you. (but you will have to wait to return in russia to play with it :)).
