The AFB (Assocaition Française de Balisong - French Balisong Association) is very proud to launch the International Best Trick Contest !
What is it ?
This is a trick contest. The contestants will have to realise a video of their best tricks to win the best flipper prize ! So you can already grad your favorite bali, your camera, and realize a vid of your craziest technic !
Why "International" ?
We wanted the contest to have a very broad scope, as broad as possible actually. This is why, with the very kind permission of their administrators, the contest will be open to 3 of the most active internet balisong communities. It means the only condition to participate is to be a member of one of these forums :
- Francebalisong.com
- Balisongforums.com
- Bladeforums.com (balisong section)
This choice is intended to open the contest to the majority of the flippers in the world, whatever their nationality or language).
What do I win ?
You obviously have some fun competing with the best flippers in the world, which is IMHO a reward itself but, to bring more fun in the contest, there's a few more to win.
First, you win recognition. To my knowledge this is the largest contest ever, even bigger than the first Best trick contest I launched with Icon of Sin a few years ago.
But we thought in was still not enough and we are real pleased to say that the best flippers will win :
- a mini pandayan for the first, given by Armand Palacio
- a Cardoso for the second, specially made for the occasion by Cardoso
- a Cardoso for the third, given by Imoen.
We really which to thank these three persons for their generosity and support. This will definitely spice up the contest !
How do I participate ?
You just have to be a member of one of the 3 communities previously named.
To participate you just have to film your trick and send it at :

You have to write in the mail the following informations :
-Your nickname(s) on the forums
-The name of the forums you have registered to.
-The name of your trick

The ventilo
Of course if you have registered to several forum, you can only participate once.
The video has to meet the following requirements :
-The trick must not exceed 5 seconds
-Multiple views are allowed as long as the trick remains the same
-Slow motion is optional bu t would greatly help
Videos must be sent before the 4th of july 2008 (so have have approximately 1 month) No patriotism involved, this is my birthday ;) and also the baliYo release date. Great day IMHO.
How is the winner chosen ?
After the end of the submission period (i.e. after the 4th of july), a 1 month period will be open for votes.
All the vids will be uploaded upon a specially created youtube account.
To vote, it is very simple. As for the submission, you just have to email at :

How can I follow the evolution of the contest ?
Upon your favorite forums. No need to visit another one. A thread will be created in each one of the three involved forums. I will regularly update it so you can follow the number of submissions, the votes, etc... Of course when the vids will be realeased, links will be given upon the three forums.
